Privacy Policy
Effective [Effective date]
This policy explains what personal information SpawnJet collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to run your servers and your account, we don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising cookies.
1.Who we are
[Company legal name] (“SpawnJet”, “we”, “us”) operates the SpawnJet website and game-server hosting service. For the personal information described in this policy about our customers and website visitors, we are the “controller” (the party that decides how and why it's used).
When you run a game server on SpawnJet, information about your players stored inside your server (for example, in game logs, plugins or framework databases) is controlled by you, the server owner. We process it only to host your server, on your behalf.
Contact: privacy@spawnjet.com, [Registered mailing address].
2.Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information: your name, email address and password, or profile information from the sign-in provider you choose (such as Google or Discord), which may include your name, email, profile picture and account ID.
- Onboarding answers: which games you're interested in, how you plan to use SpawnJet, and your preferred region.
- Server configuration and content: server names, settings, and the files, worlds and resources you upload.
- Billing information: when paid plans launch, our payment processor collects your payment details. We receive limited information such as your billing name, country, the last four digits of your card and transaction history. We don't store full card numbers.
- Communications: messages you send to support and your choices about emails from us.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and actions in the dashboard.
- Service logs: server lifecycle events (created, woke, slept), resource usage, and error logs used to run and bill the Service.
- Player connection data: when players connect to a server through SpawnJet, we process their IP address, connection times and network metadata to route traffic, wake servers, and protect the Service from abuse.
3.How we use information
- To provide the Service: create, wake, sleep and route traffic to your servers, and manage your account.
- To bill you and enforce plan limits once paid plans launch.
- To keep the Service secure: detect and prevent fraud, abuse, attacks and violations of our policies.
- To support you and send service messages, such as security alerts and changes to our terms.
- To understand how the Service is used and improve it.
- To send product updates and marketing emails, which you can opt out of at any time.
- To comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
4.Legal bases (EU and UK)
If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on these legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service, prevent abuse, and send service communications. We balance these against your rights.
- Consent: for optional marketing emails and any non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent anytime.
- Legal obligation: for tax, accounting and responding to lawful requests.
7.How long we keep information
- Account information: while your account is open, and for a limited period after to handle disputes and legal obligations.
- Server content: while your account is open, then deleted [30] days after account closure unless you delete it sooner.
- Service and connection logs: for a limited period needed for security and operations, typically no more than 90 days unless needed to investigate abuse.
- Billing records: as long as required by tax and accounting law.
8.Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@spawnjet.com.
9.International transfers
We're based in the United States and process information in the US and in the regions where your servers run, including Europe. When we transfer personal information from the EEA or UK to other countries, we use safeguards approved by regulators, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
10.Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising (we don't do either).
To make a request, email privacy@spawnjet.com. We'll verify your identity before acting on it, and you can use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
If you're in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
If you're a player on someone's server and want to access or delete information held inside that server, contact the server owner. We'll help server owners respond where we can.
11.Children
SpawnJet is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Users under 18 need a parent or guardian's agreement to use the Service. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact privacy@spawnjet.com and we'll delete it.
12.Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy as our Service changes. If a change is material, we'll notify you by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated. See also our Terms of Service.
