Fair Use Policy
Effective [Effective date]
This policy explains what “unlimited servers” covers, the limits that come with each plan, and what happens if usage goes beyond them. It's part of our Terms of Service.
1.What “unlimited servers” means
Plans that include unlimited servers place no cap on how many servers you can create. You can make a server for every group, game mode or idea without paying per server.
“Unlimited” refers only to the number of servers. It does not mean unlimited storage, data transfer or computing resources.
2.Plan limits
Each plan includes limits that are shared across all of your servers:
- Storage: the total space used by worlds, resources, databases and other files across your servers.
- Data transfer: the network traffic your servers send and receive, mostly from players connecting.
- Compute resources: how much processing and memory your servers can use at the same time while they're awake.
Your plan's limits are shown on the pricing page and in your dashboard.
3.Sleeping and inactive servers
Servers go to sleep after [15] minutes with no connected players and wake when a player connects or you start them. Sleeping is how we keep unlimited servers affordable, and it's part of the Service.
A server with no activity for [90] days may be archived. We'll email you at least 14 days before archiving, and you can restore an archived server from your dashboard, though restoring may take longer than a normal wake.
4.Intended use
SpawnJet is for hosting multiplayer game servers for people to play on. The following aren't fair use, regardless of plan:
- Running workloads that aren't game servers, such as cryptocurrency mining, general computing, proxies or VPNs.
- Keeping servers artificially awake, for example with bots or idle clients, to avoid sleeping when nobody is playing.
- Using servers as file storage, backup or content distribution unrelated to running the game.
- Creating servers in bulk with scripts or automation beyond what a person or community would reasonably need.
- Reselling or sublicensing SpawnJet servers or capacity without our written permission.
- Load testing or benchmarking the platform without our permission.
5.If usage goes beyond fair use or your plan
We'll usually start by contacting you. Depending on the situation, we may:
- Ask you to reduce usage or move to a plan that fits.
- Limit resources, data transfer or the number of servers that can be awake at the same time.
- Put servers to sleep or pause the creation of new servers.
- Suspend servers or accounts for serious or repeated issues, as described in our Terms of Service.
If usage threatens the stability or security of the Service or other customers, we may act immediately and then contact you.
6.Changes and questions
We may update this policy as the Service evolves and will give notice of material changes. Questions about your usage? Contact support@spawnjet.com.
